In a fun thread on DovBear, a number of commentators linked to some videos on YouTube where you can hear allegedly Jewish music sung in its original form.
Here they are below.
Note that my use of the term "Jewish music", is purely reflecting common usage and has little to with real Jewish music, if it exists at all.
Karma point to these that identify the name of the ripoffs.
I know, twice. But its too good.

What is that military Cherkes song? And i've heard that Jewish Australia weddings play the ripoff of that Down Under song *because* they know where it comes from.
Its the only one I don't recognize, but I put since it was on the thread.
I does have a Lubavitch 'Dveikus' feel to it. It is from Chechnya.
Here's a full version of the Daddy Dear song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-R2QKmuqkZU
Lubavitch has adapted many Russian folk songs, that, however, is not one of them.
Anon, Thanks!
Yehudah,
I thought so too. Its just sound similar.
